Memories of A Unique Hostel Experience - Birch Bay Hostel. Saturday, January 31, 2015. The Birch Bay Lions Hostel was closed in 2013. Many thanks to the amazing volunteers and community members that supported the hostel since 2004, In the last three years we managed to take the rundown building and make it into a shining jewel. So many Artists and Creators Helped do this! Or on facebook. I have no regrets in leaving as my time was done. I have some other things I wanted to do.
